The Verdict

Hmmm not sure what to say.  Well there were no tears, maybe because there was nothing to cry about.  Very disappointing movie.  Very ho hum.  Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE Sex and the City.  I have seen every episode of the whole series at least 10 times (god bless foxtel) and the first movie which was fantastic I have seen countless times.

To me this movie just didn't have the emotion of the first one.  There were a few laugh out loud moments but that was it.  I was so excited to be going but now I am very disappointed.  Let me know if you have seen it and what your thoughts are.  I don't know anyone else that has seen it yet.  I would be very interested to hear from you.

Not sure what they could do for a third movie is there was one.  I must also admit that the ladies were looking a bit old to.  The only one that I thought was looking pretty good was Miranda.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and that it didn't have a disappointing ending like mine.

Oohh on a good note.  Very much enjoyed my sushi lunch beforehand ;-)

Think I will need to watch the first movie tonight to remind me of who much I really do love Sex and the City.

  1. I couldn't agree more with all your comments :)

I am a diehard SATC fan, I loved the TV series....but I did wonder if this was just one movie too far. The fashion and costumes were the biggest stars I thought, almost overshadowing the actors. I thought some of the things that happened were just not true to the characters of the girls, the whole Abu Dhabi thing got sillier and sillier....and yes, there wasn't enough emotion in it.

I LOVE SJP and really hate to say it, but seeing her close-up on a huge movie screen was not always so good....and the others too.

I honestly hope they don't make a 3rd movie....there wasn't enough substance in this one which was really disappointing.

    :)
